Regulatory context
The framework we work within
Arms in Pakistan are regulated by federal and provincial law. The Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965, and rules made under it have long formed the principal framework, and since the Eighteenth Constitutional Amendment several provinces have enacted or adapted their own arms legislation. Licences are issued by government authorities, not by dealers.
